Location: Malaysia
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in strategic public relations and integrated communications planning and
implementation that
will influence public opinion or promote ideas, products and
services. This includes soliciting and
creating coverage opportunities, and to ensure
consistent communication of company’s objectives
and business directions.
2. Conceptualize, write, edit, update and proof-read all corporate, IT marketing and
communication
materials related to online and offline and ensure all contents are
updated, broadcasted to the
relevant parties, as well as to ensure all communication
materials are compliant.
3. Organize, coordinate, execute and monitor internal and external campaigns and
special events.
4. Monitor and update management on the communications and PR activities of the
Company,
competitors and related industry news to benchmark the company brand
positioning against other
industry players.
5. Keep records of media cuttings, prepare and compile monthly activity reports.
6. Develop, implement and administer communications and public relations policies,
guidelines and
procedures responsive to company’s objectives.
7. Represent the company as point-of-contact to build and sustain relationship with the US and localmedia, event management companies, government bodies and related
agencies that supports
corporate strategy.
8. Liaise closely with relevant internal and external parties in planning and organizing any marketing, communications or public relations-related activities to enhance company's awareness and branding campaign/exercise.
9. Cultivate and maintain good rapport with the media community, help follow-up and
update media
contacts regularly; particularly with US and local media and government
authorities/agencies.
10. Assisting the HOD/superior in any other ad-hoc projects and campaigns.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media, English, Journalism, or relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of public relations and IT professional communication/editorial, writing and event
organizing experience, preferably in both the U.S and local markets.
- Excellent command of both verbal and written English is essential.
- Keen sense of commercial awareness with excellent planning, organizing and coordination
capabilities with meticulous attention to details for proof reading and other communications efforts
- Very passionate about communicating messages through creativity and innovation
- Excellent networking across all regional and national media platform and event organizers,
particularly with the U.S media, publications and event organizers. Good rapport with local
government authorities would be an added advantage.
- A confident team player with good inter-personal skills with a pleasant, mature and outgoing
personality.
- Strong presentation, organizational, analytical skills and positive working attitude with a high degree
of initiative.
- A high level of drive, commitment, flexibility, enthusiastic and dynamic.
- Strong sense of responsibility, self discipline and able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Result-oriented with ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure, quickly and accurately under time constraints, and extra hours if
needed on assignments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge in graphic design software i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
would be an added advantage.
- Posses own transport and willing to travel to US.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Mount Kiara.
